"The Pretender 2001"

Just saw “The Pretender 2001”. OMG! I can’t believe I waited this long to finally watch it! Saw “Island of the Haunted” first, the second TV-movie, which proves that Jared and Miss Parker survived the explosion in the final eps. of the TV-series. This brought back memories. I think my best friend was rather tired of me when I saw the series finale back in 2001. Exclaiming “You do NOT blow up the pretender” for at least 2 weeks, and then again every time I was reminded of it. Back then I didn’t know that they had made a TV-movie as a follow up.
This movie has changed some essential ideas of the series, but the quick dialogue, all the secrets of the Centre and Jared’s continuous search for his mother are still the key elements. It’s really good, I just missed Angelo, but he’s in the second one, so. Andrea is even more of a badass than in the series, and Lyle is a bit weaker than usual. The funny thing is that Sweden plays a small part in the movie, Jared tries to speak Swedish and it sounds very funny. Right now I’m ecstatic and lord I miss “The Pretender”. Fortunately I’ve recorded it and if I have some spare time soon, I’ll see if I won't spend it watching my favourite eps. “Angel’s flight”.

Crush update and some C.K. news

So my crush has a girlfriend, go figure. By his looks and manners it’s definitely no wonder. The funny thing about this is whenever I have a crush and tell my best friend about it, the reply I get is “They aren’t married yet”. The rest of the conversation I had with my crush, that was the only thing I could think of. It’s true, but I could never break up a happy couple. Nonetheless, I’ve won a big personal battle just by talking to him, and feel very proud of myself. My first impression of him, that we seemed very much alike has been confirmed. He is calm and down to earth and nice to speak with. So even if I can’t ever have him as a boyfriend, I’ve might found a good friend.

On a totally other notice, Kane has updated their myspacepage www.myspace.com/kanecountry with two new songs. I can’t get enough of “A different kind of knight” it’s sooo good. When I’m at it I’ll promote Carrie Underwood’s video for “So small” where C.K. is featured.

Första cykelturen en vacker höstdag

Idag har varit en riktigt fin höstdag, ca 7 grader kallt och strålande sol hela dagen. Har suttit inne och pluggat, men på eftermiddagen kände jag att jag behöver verkligen ta en paus och gå ut en stund. Känner fortfarande inte till området helt, eftersom jag inte haft tid att utforska det sedan jag flytta hit. Hur som helst så finns det ett stort köpcenter inte så lång härifrån, så jag tänkte kolla hur lång tid det skulle ta och gå dit. Det blev en långpromenad i solen. Eftersom jag inte visste om jag skulle hitta dit så tog jag inte med mig några pengar, vilket var väldigt dumt. Detta resultera i att när jag väl kom hem igen bestämde jag mig för att se hur lång tid det skulle ta och cykla dit.

Sagt och gjort, eller snarare tänkt och gjort. Jag har kanske inte cyklat på 9 år så det var en kraftansträngning, men vad härligt. Som liten cyklade jag jämnt, men på nåt sätt så växte jag ifrån det, kanske för att jag bodde så centralt. Här cyklar alla, vilket är ganska befriande. Att cykla in till stan skulle nog ta en halvtimma, så det var nog bra att började med en 12 minutare var väg till köpcentrat.

När vi nu går in i mörkare tider hoppas jag verkligen att det kommer finns sådan här dagar som idag. Jag ska ta tillvara dem.
